Visitors to the London Coffee Festival saw the official launch of an exciting new product which allows people to experiment with making coffees from all over the world in the comfort of their own kitchens.
The COFFEEASY™, produced by Leeds-based Coffeeasy Ltd, allows people to make high quality filtered coffee and experiment with the huge influx of coffee blends increasingly available from around the world, in the way they that have seen professional baristas do.
Patrick Joseph, who founded the company, launched the product when he attended all four days of the Festival in London between Thursday April 30 and Sunday May 3 and in addition to showcasing the brewing and storage solution, he made a number of sales, including to overseas customers.
With thousands of visitors attending, The London Coffee Festival was the ideal place to launch the COFFEEASY™ and Patrick said: “It went really well. The idea was to show people what COFFEEASY™ can do and to get in front of as many sets of eyes as possible.
“We had lots of positive feedback. People were saying how ingenious and clever it is and describing it as stylish and having the wow factor.
“In addition to raising awareness of the product, we made quite a few sales, including to customers from Turkey, Dubai and Holland.
“We had a lot of interest from coffee roasters, who see it as an easy way to easily educate their clients. As well as promote their coffees and brand, it’s a great opportunity to upsell other products that work with the product as thirst for knowledge and other brewing devices improves.”
COFFEEASY™ taps into the growing ‘third wave coffee’ trend, a global movement which regards high-quality coffee as artisan, like wine and cheese, rather than a bulk-buy commodity. The device is very versatile and works with various drip brewers, including the Hario V60, Kalita Wave and the ever-popular Aeropress.
Patrick said: “We were able to show visitors to the festival that they can look beyond often cheap supermarket coffee and instant brands. People taste expensive coffee-shop brews and want to do the same thing at home and we were able to show them that COFFEEASY™ makes it possible.
“Many people told us it was a great solution for storage and brewing, especially when used with the Aeropress.”
With COFFEEASY™, buyers get everything they need to start making coffee and the company recently added a simple filter cone and papers, so all they need is a kettle and some coffee, any coffee. The product comes complete with a measuring scoop and a clip to re-seal the bag properly after use to protect the coffee from going stale.
COFFEEASY™ is also friendly to the environment because it does not rely on aluminium coffee capsules which end up in landfill. You only boil the amount of fresh water you need for each brew without the electric cafetiere staying switched on all day.
COFFEEASY™ is available to buy online from Has Bean Coffee, Omega and Caffe Society. RRP £49.90. Find out more about COFFEEASY™ by visiting www.coffeeasy.com
