Visitors to the London Coffee Festival will be given the opportunity to sample an exciting new product which allows people to experiment with making coffees from all over the world in the comfort of their own kitchens.
The COFFEEASY™, produced by Leeds-based Coffeeasy Ltd, allows people to make high quality filtered coffee and experiment with the huge influx of coffee blends increasingly available from around the world, in the way they that have seen professional baristas do.
Patrick Joseph, who founded the company, will attend all four days of the Festival which runs at 15 Hanbury Street, The Old Truman Brewery, London E1 6QR, between Thursday April 30 and Sunday May 3.
With more than 22,000 visitors expected, The London Coffee Festival will feature more than 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, tastings and demonstrations from world-class baristas, interactive workshops, street food, coffee-based cocktails, live music, DJs, art exhibitions and much more. The event also marks the official launch of UK Coffee Week.
Patrick, who will have stall SR38, said: “Taking part in the London Coffee Festival gives us a chance to showcase what the COFFEEASY™ can do.
“We will not have a big area but that is not a problem for COFFEEASY™ because it does not take up much space. Our product gives people the chance to experiment with coffees from all over the world. It’s very easy to use, it’s not very big and has been designed to sit next to the kettle and the toaster.
“We have only just launched the product and the response has been very enthusiastic, from trade and home users, too. Professional baristas who have tried it have been very complimentary.
COFFEEASY™ taps into the growing ‘third wave coffee’ trend, a global movement which regards high-quality coffee as artisan, like wine and cheese, rather than a bulk-buy commodity. The device is very versatile and works with various drip brewers, including the Hario V60, Kalita Wave and the ever-popular Aeropress.
Patrick said: “I’m passionate about coffee and more and more consumers now share that passion, moving their aspirations beyond often cheap supermarket coffee and instant brands. People taste expensive coffee-shop brews and want to do the same thing at home. With COFFEEASY™, they don’t have to be highly trained baristas to do that.
“When they open the box containing COFFEEASY™ they get everything they need to start making coffee. We have also added a simple filter cone and papers, so all they need is a kettle and some coffee, any coffee.”
The product also comes complete with a measuring scoop and a clip to re-seal the bag properly after use to protect the coffee from going stale.
COFFEEASY™ is also friendly to the environment because it does not rely on aluminium coffee capsules which end up in landfill. You only boil the amount of fresh water you need for each brew without the electric cafetiere staying switched on all day.
COFFEEASY™ is available to buy online from Has Bean, Coffee Omega and Caffe Society. RRP £49.90. Find out more about COFFEEASY™ by visiting www.coffeeasy.com
