Sale or return service proves a success for auto company

A new approach to the selling of vehicles has gone live on the website operated by Newcastle-based business We Buy Cars For More.

The company, which has more than doubled its workforce in the past year to cope with strong sales performance, is running the new sale or return service from its showroom at Scotswood Road.

As with conventional selling, vehicle owners place their car or van with the company, which will promote it online or from its Scotswood Road site. The difference is that if the vehicle does not sell, it reverts to the owner.

Sales Executive Colin Wharton said that a big advantage for the vehicle owner with sale or return is that they receive a share of what the vehicle sells for, rather than being restricted to the price at which they sell it to the dealer in the first place.

Colin said: “Sale or return has proved really popular since it went live on the website. It is a very flexible way of working and customers who sell their vehicle this way have found that they are making more money.

“Customers like the idea of something new, they like that they get a good deal on their vehicle and they love the fact that our system is easy to use.”
